    The GSI crew is so excited to head back to our favorite haunted hotel for a weekend of writing, art, and paranormal fun!

    About this event

    Ghost Stories Ink is excited to return to their favorite haunted hotel for a weekend of writing, art, and paranormal fun!

    WHEN: Friday 2/11/2022 – Sunday 2/13/2022

    Space is limited! Once you’ve purchased your ticket, be sure to reserve your rooms at the hotel immediately by contacting them directly at 866-834-9100. Book your room for Friday (2/11/22) and Saturday (2/12/22) and get Thursday (2/10/22) FREE. You will need an event code to book your room. After you’ve purchased your ticket, a code will be emailed to you.

    ITINERARY:

    Friday, February 11:

    • Social Night – beginning at 7 pm or whenever you can join us!
    • Stop by the table in the lobby to pick up a lanyard and enter the drawing to win prizes.
    • Meet the GSI team and relax in the bar as you get to know other people attending the event. Drinks and food will be available for purchase.
    • Prize drawings will take place at 9 pm in the cafe. Must be present to win.

    Saturday, February 12:

    • 9:30 am – 10:30 am: Workshop: Connecting With Your Intuition Through Meditation (in the bar)
    • 10:45 am – 12:15 pm: Workshop: Letting the Dark Inspire Your Writing (in the basement)
    • 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Workshop: Letting the Dark Inspire Your Art (in the basement)
    • 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Free Time: The basement will be locked at this time. We hope you’ll spend some time on your latest Work-In-Progress, explore Sauk Centre, and have dinner in the Pub. We ask that you not consume more than one alcoholic beverage before the paranormal investigation. Anyone who appears to be intoxicated will not be allowed to participate in the investigation and will NOT be refunded for the ticket.
    • 8:00 pm – 9:00pm: Ghost Hunting 1-1 (in the cafe)
    • 9:00 pm – Midnight: Paranormal Investigation (the kitchen will open at midnight for anyone who would like to purchase a post-investigation snack).
    • **Throughout the day, private sessions can be booked with Natalie (psychic readings) or Jessica (intuitive-mindfulness coaching and manuscript critiques (up to 5 pages )). Additional fees apply to these services.

    Funday, February 13:

    • Sleep in, grab a bite to eat (the Cafe has an awesome breakfast menu), and check out.

    Our events are young adult-friendly. If you have a teen interested in ghost hunting or being inspired by history and the paranormal to write or create works of art, this event would be appropriate for them.

    Please note: the price of the ticket does NOT include room and board. The ticket covers the cost of all workshops and the investigation.

Historical Tours Available

Please use the event calendar to choose from available tour dates. Follow the instructions and use the “Buy Now” button to make your reservations.
Join us to discover the fascinating history behind the Historic Palmer House Hotel. Learn more about the previous owners, famous guests, and unregistered residents. Afterwards your tour guides will take you to our infamous basement. This part of the hotel is closed to the public and can only be accessed during our tours. Once in the basement, we will conduct a mini investigation to find out who may still be checked in to the hotel after all these years, with ample time to take as many pictures as you’d like!
Palmer House Tour tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances. Tours will last approximately 2-3 hours.
All participants must sign a Waiver of Liability before the tour.
